The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider who provides health care to neonates, infants and children up to one year of age. The APP provides care for critically ill premature and full-term infants with an emphasis placed on family centered culturally diverse sensitive care. In collaboration with the APP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity.

The Advanced Practice Provider practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients.

They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research.

General Requirements:

\tCDS and DEA\tCurrent NRP and BLS certification

APN Specific Requirements:

\tAPN License\tRN License\tOne of the following\t

\tNNP Certification with NICU RN experience\tPrimary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient setting\tAcute Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APP \t\t

PA Specific Requirements

\tPA License\tPICU procedural experience or NICU experience as an APP\tNCCPA

Scheduling Requirements:

\tDays, Nights, Weekend, and Holiday Coverage\t12h/24h shifts with flexibility\tPer Diem

Essential Functions:

\tConduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients.\tDiagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.\tDevelop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.\tPerform procedures as necessary.\tWork closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.\tCommunicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education.\tStay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.\tEngage in continuing education and professional development activities.\tParticipate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed.
